Seeking an experienced .NET MVC Developer to be part of our clients' eCommerce team. As a .NET MVC Developer, you will deliver customer-facing solutions using the .NET Framework and other modern web technologies in their rapidly evolving products. You will develop solutions built for sustainability and performance and will improve the architecture to handle the growing customer base. You will collaborate closely with product managers, testers and other developers to design, test, code, deliver and support software within an Agile Scrum environment via website architecture built on a cloud infrastructure. This position requires strong proficiency in .NET technologies and website architecture in a highly collaborative, exciting, and fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
Design and develop business functionality in multi-tier web solutions while improving code quality and infrastructure. Build scalable, unit testable solutions for our website applications and do code reviews. Follow good security, coding standards, architecture patterns, and documentation practices. Work across all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations and support). Work on a cross-disciplinary Agile team to understand requirements, do product backlog grooming, sprint planning, execution, and retrospective. Communicate effectively and efficiently with all associates and business contacts and promote a strong sense of teamwork. Mentor and coach other developers and able to collaborate with offshore teams. Optimize website speed / performance and enhance SEO. Communicate technical direction and ideas across the organization. Manage multiple projects and work independently without supervision at times. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience 5+ years of .NET web development with a preferred focus on retail eCommerce solutions and MVC 3+ years with relational databases 2+ years working under Agile scrum framework Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET (MVC and WebForms), HTML, Javascript, and Visual Studio / Code Javascript framework experience (e.g. ReactJS, AngularJS, Node.js, jQuery) Experienced with JIRA and BitBucket/Git for source control Domain-Driven Design, Dependency Injection, Caching Strategies Proficient in using built-in browser tools like Chrome Developer Tools Practical understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns in a web environment Unit Test frameworks like MSTest, NUnit and Jasmine and mocking frameworks like Moq Cloud first architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a nice to have Web Performance measuring (APM) is a plus but not required Great analytical skills to debug complex problems and curiosity/passion for technology Great collaborator and communicator with teammates and business partners Strong written and verbal communication skills
