The ideal candidate will have experience in criminal defense and a track record of managing misdemeanor and felony cases. This role involves requesting discovery, conducting investigations, and representing clients in various court settings.Duties and Responsibilities:Request discovery materials and conduct thorough investigations.Interview police officers, witnesses, and other relevant individuals.File and argue pretrial motions in court.Handle misdemeanor and felony trials from start to finish.Collaborate with investigators to build strong cases.Attend court appearances in superior, justice, and city courts.Work closely with clients to explain criminal procedures and inform them about their cases.Conduct in-office and telephonic consultations with clients.Coordinate with administrative staff to ensure a smooth and professional case management process.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Arizona.Proven experience handling misdemeanor and felony cases.Previous experience at a public defender's office, county/city attorney's office, or Arizona criminal defense law firm.Strong understanding of criminal defense procedures and court systems.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Arizona.Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and investigative abilities.Proficient in legal research and case management.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
