The

Staff Accountant

will play a crucial role in our finance team, responsible for various accounting and clerical tasks including booking transactions and reconciling across all general ledger accounts, tasks related to the efficient maintenance and timely reporting processing of full cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as cash management, transaction processing, month-end close, and audit support preparation. The position will also be responsible for responding to inquiries and contacting other departments and/or customers (internal/external) to resolve a variety of problems.

Responsibilities:

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations across all accounts and lines of business and perform monthly closing processes. Resolve any variances through account analyses on a regular basis. Prepare audit schedules.Process full-cycle accounts receivable to include preparation and distribution of invoices to clients, input invoices into NetSuite accounting software, and input corresponding receipt of payment into NetSuite accounting software.Prepare and distribute weekly A/R aging reports. Monitor accounts to ensure receipts are up to date. Follow-up with clients and/or other department managers about payment status as needed.Perform corporate cash management tasks such as pending wires and account transfers.Process full-cycle accounts payable to include sort incoming invoices, review invoices for appropriate documentation, distribute invoices and follow up to obtain timely approval, input invoices into NetSuite accounting software, process check batches, nominate invoices for ACH payment in NetSuite, match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks, distribute checks accordingly.Correspond with customers and vendors and respond to inquiries.Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy.Assist in and work with team to improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness.Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.Education & Other Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field2+ years of experience in accounting or related fieldExcellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft ExcelERP experienceKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.Willingness/ability to work late hours when faced with tight deadlinesBonus points if you have:
