We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, design and implement data models, and develop and maintain data pipelines. The Data Architect will also be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of the data architecture and working with semi structured and unstructured data as well as analytics, open source tools, ML/AI, and data visualization tools

Hybrid in Boston, MA

Responsibilities:Design and implement data models that support business requirements.Develop and maintain data pipelines in both on-premises and AWS cloud environments.Ensure the security and compliance of the data architecture.Stay up to date on the latest data technologies and best practices within the cloud/AWS ecosystems.Work with a team of engineers and other architects to understand needs and provide solutions.Manipulate unstructured data in a data analytics environment.Utilize open-source tools such as PostgreSQL, cloud computing, machine learning, and data visualization.Build and maintain an enterprise data model.Implement data pipelines using ETL and ELT technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Nifi, Informatica, AWS Glue.Use data architecture and management tools such as ER/Studio, Alation, Collibra, and DataHub.Requirements:10+ years of total IT experience with a heavy focus on Data Architecture.Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field/equivalent experience.Familiarity with the manipulation of unstructured data in a data analytics environment.Experience with open-source tools such as PostgresSQL/et cetera, cloud computing, machine learning, and data visualization.Ability to use/code in languages applicable to the project or task order such as Spark, Scala, Java, Hadoop and/or Python.Experience in building and maintaining an enterprise data model.Experience in implementing data pipelines using ETL and ELT technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Nifi, Informatica, AWS Glue.Proficiency in data architecture and management tools such as ER/Studio, Alation, Collibra, and DataHub.Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data analytics such as Snowflake/other related tools.Experience with cloud technologies and cloud computing platforms.Experience with security and compliance.Experience working in an Agile environment.Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
