Database Administrator (DBA)
to join our growing team.Responsibilities:·
Design and implement reliable, scalable, and secure database solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business·
Work closely with software development teams, provide mentorship to junior database professionals, and ensure data models align with application requirements·
Interact with stakeholders and system administration teams to understand challenges, roadmap database infrastructure, and perform capacity planning·
Manage vendor relationships and third-party engagements·
Monitor and tune database performance·
Follow secure-by-design principles and work alongside CISO to implement and maintain a comprehensive data security strategy·
Provide backup mechanisms and disaster recovery planningRequirementsWho YOU Are·
Able to work independently and see tasks through to completion·
Comfortable working as part of a team·
A good communicator – both verbally and in writing·
Works well in a fast-paced environment·
Detail-oriented and organizedQualifications·
Minimum 8+ years of experience with clustered and highly available relational databases in an engineer and architect capacity·
Minimum 3+ years of providing thought leadership and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills·
Expertise with MySQL databases·
Proficiency in writing complex queries relevant to the database platform(s) in use·
Experience with Clickhouse and timeseries databases such as Prometheus·
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as PHP, Perl, or Python·
Intermediate knowledge of Linux systems administration·
