Creating and maintaining spatial data and linkages to various databases in an enterprise GIS environment. Work may include digitizing paper-based datasets, geocoding, interpreting surveys and building plans, reading and interpreting descriptions pertaining to spatial boundaries, GIS database design and creation, interpretation of remotely sensed imagery, cartography and related work as required.Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in the support, design and/or implementation of Geographic Information database mapping systems (GIS) involving Esri, QGIS, CAD, and/or mobile device applications.OR: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the support, design and/or implementation of Geographic Information database mapping systems (GIS) involving Esri, QGIS, CAD, and/or mobile device applications.Important Notes:Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification.If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%.
