Our customers have an immediate need to make their buildings work smarter, so we need your help to quickly expand our platform’s capabilities. We are a scrappy team: when we say “full stack”, we mean it. On a given day, you may work on brand new customer-facing web features, optimizing database queries, refining backend analytic calculations, or designing IoT interfaces to our device firmware.Because our team is small, we all need to wear multiple hats. You will work directly with Product Managers, QA, DevOps, Firmware and Customer Success to break through ambiguities and put amazing products into our customers’ hands.Technologies we use

4-6 years of experience building high-performing large-scale applications in a modern full stack environment.The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical peers.Successful product delivery as part of a small team.Basic knowledge of data modeling, normalization and transformation pipelines in scaled applications.Eagerness to collaborate directly with cross-functional partners and customer-facing teams.Pragmatic judgment to know when to hack a solution, and when to spend a little more time architecting.A sense of ownership for the future of R-Zero’s engineering process and culture, and for the success of the company as a whole.Degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant industry experience.About the Role

Participate in all aspects of Agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.Guide architecture decisions for end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.Create and operate reliable RESTful/streaming APIs for our customers.Continually improve existing infrastructure to ensure we provide the security and reliability our customers demand.Work with the customer success team and directly with customers to diagnose and solve issues.Improve our process and documentation so our future selves can move even more efficiently.The salary range for this position will vary based on candidate level, experience, and location. The base salary for this position contemplates a range of $140,000 - $210,000. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
