Position Requirements
Experience writing complex reports using modern BI tools, particularly IBM Cognos.
Experience working with enterprise databases or data lakes, including writing SQL queries in Oracle, Hive, Impala or other similar environment.
Experience writing VBA code to develop models and improve efficiencies.
Advanced technical skills covering all Microsoft Office products.
Strong communication skills. Ability to create and explain complex technology solutions to non-technical users.
Ability to analyze and report on data, look for trends, make and implement recommendations.
Drive to deliver timely resolution to issues through diagnostics, testing, action plans, recommendations, and implementation.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively without close supervision.
Sound judgment, advanced problem solving and decision making capabilities.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Travel industry experience highly preferred.
*LI-NKThe BI Analyst- Developer is responsible for a Fortune 50 global technology client’s travel reporting program developing BI reporting, building data models and tools, and ensuring continuous access to recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards for the analyst team to turn into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. This role resides within the global consulting organization, partnering with operations teams and the client to support the delivery of insights and recommendations to optimize travel costs and manage global corporate travel programs.

Position Responsibilities
Recommend innovative and efficient solutions to increase performance of reporting team.
Collect and translate business requirements into specifications and use these to develop reports and models.
Identify, develop, and QC automations to support effective delivery of travel reporting and analysis.
Design, develop, and QC standardized and flexible reporting to enable efficient turnaround on custom specifications.
Maintain and make updates to all models as program changes are rolled out.
Resolve and debug reporting issues.
Assist analyst team with report generation for reoccurring and ad hoc report requests including but not limited to\: Dashboards, Policy compliance, Demand management, Supplier management, and Trends and key metrics.
Provide data insights and recommendations based on strategic and tactical objectives.
