Overview:
Argo Cyber is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large, mission-critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment. This includes introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Argo Cyber is seeking expert-level Cloud Engineers and Systems Engineers to support a U.S. Government customer on a large, mission-critical development and sustainment program. This role involves assessing, designing, and developing agile, DevOps-oriented, cloud-centric architectures and environments to ensure the rigor, consistency, and continued reliability of mission-critical systems. Candidates must prefer automated workflows over repetitive manual tasks and be capable of working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Responsibilities:
Develop advanced, leading-edge, cloud-oriented automation and orchestration architectures for cybersecurity capabilities.
Lead Agile Scrum teams in the system design and implementation of autonomous cybersecurity capabilities.
Interface with customers, stakeholders, and end-users to derive, develop, and decompose requirements.
Provide full lifecycle oversight of requirements-driven automation architecture.
Develop security systems for manual and automated systems environments, ensuring data protection and system integrity.
Apply analytical and logical thinking to the design, development, evaluation, testing, and integration of computer systems, appliances, and networks.
Manage technology roadmaps and provide recommendations based on best practices.
Support system accreditation efforts (ATP, ATO) by generating Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts.
Coordinate teams in the development, integration, and testing of cybersecurity systems.
Provide detailed technical reporting and oral briefings on complex technical subjects.
Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance).
Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
6-8+ years of directly relevant experience in systems engineering and cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux in production environments.
Strong knowledge of cloud-security technologies (AWS, MS Azure) and secure-cloud configuration.
Experience with security and host-based protections such as Trellix, CrowdStrike, Tanium, etc.
Ability to work in a fast-paced Scaled AGILE Framework (SAFe) environment.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, bash).
Experience with network protection devices (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, log analysis, malware analysis).
Familiarity with Agile tools, including Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence.
Experience with event-driven microservice architectures and CI/CD Pipelines.
Desired Skills:
Leadership experience in team and project settings.
Familiarity with Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Git, Ansible, Chef, AWS Lambda, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Programming experience (Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python, Ruby).
Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization.
Technical oversight experience in DevOps and DevSecOps environments.
Familiarity with tools such as CyberArk, ForeScout CounterAct, Tenable Nessus, Splunk, PKI.
Understanding of DoDAF and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education.
Desired Certifications:
Agile software development methodology certification (e.g., SCRUM Master).
AWS Cloud certifications (e.g., Associate Architect).
DoD 8570.1 IAT Level I or II (e.g., CISSP).
Advanced AWS certifications such as Cloud DevOps Developer, SysOps Administrator, Security Specialist.
