Summary:

The

QA Software Developer

,

will provide leadership through knowledge sharing and mentoring, as well as influence the continuous improvement of product quality and delivery systems.

Design, create/implement, and maintain manual test plans and test automation frameworks to increase productivity and efficiency in the department and collaborate with Software Engineers to enhance and improve automated test coverage.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain automated testing infrastructureCreate and integrate automated testing into deployment pipelineIdentify and develop test cases and scenarios for automation and manual testingLead the design and development of test data and test scenariosUnderstand and leverage open source and commercial automation toolsContinuously improve test coverage through automation tools and evaluate technologies for continued relevancy/effectivenessDocument and help resolve found defects, including working with Engineers to reproduce defects.Establish yourself as a domain expert so as others seek input from this role to achieve business outcomesParticipate in project planning, task assignment and prioritization, resource allocation, and requirements reviewWork under minimal supervision on complex projects and assist less experienced colleagues as needed/requestedReview and provide feedback to ensure clear and concise test cases and documentationCommunicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.Champion all QA and software testing processes and utilize continuous improvement to enhance or establish improved processes, including test automationResearch and identify new tools or methodologies for improving the software testing practiceDevelop and lead training sessions (team meeting or lunch & learn formats) for other QA Analysts and Software Engineers on a regular basisEducation and ExperienceBS in Computer Science, Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience3+ years

working with software testing or test automation in a Agile environmentExperience creating and developing test plans and test cases for manual and automation testingExperience with automated and performance testingObject oriented programming, debugging, and test automation skills with C#, C/C++Understanding of reading, testing, and consuming APIsExperience writing basic to intermediate SQL queries and understanding of SQL database objectsExperience working with teams using CI/CD tools and methodologiesExperience with source control tools, such as GitExperience mentoring and coaching junior associates, specifically with automated test best practicesExperience in mobile test automation would be nice to haveRequired Skills:Ability to think thoughtfully and develop test cases and test integration of overall systemEffectively communicate necessary information to reproduce bugs or defectsAbility to see 'code' and have an understanding of what it meansEvaluate and identify areas in which test automation would be beneficialAble to identify training recommendations for analystsA creative mindset to 'think outside the box'Critical thinker with the understanding of the value of skepticismStrong attention to detailFlexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessaryAbility to work both independently and within a teamDeep understanding of enterprise architecture and SOAUnit, Integration and
