DescriptionSAIC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Windows Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator to support an essential customer mission area and organization. The position requires someone to work both individually and in a team environment to complete deadline-driven tasks. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows-based systems and networks, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the security and reliability of the infrastructure.Responsibilities/Functions:Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based operating systems, servers and applicationsMonitor and troubleshoot system performance and network connectivity issuesImplement and manage security protocols and firewalls to protect against cyber threatsDeploy and manage software updates, patches, and antivirus softwareManage user accounts, permissions, and access controlsCreate and maintain system documentation and standard operating proceduresProvide technical support to end users, which may include HW and SW troubleshooting and resolutionCollaborate with other IT teams to design and implement new technologies and solutionsAbility to flex hours as required to support mission needs and emergency responseQualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience in Windows system administration/engineeringMinimum of 9 years of overall technical experienceMust currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearanceProficiency with Microsoft PowershellExperience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCPKnowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-VFamiliarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesiredBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related fieldIndustry certifications such as MCSE, MCSA or CompTIA A+Experience with automation for Windows
