SECTION 1: Job Summary (Summary of the basic functions of the position)
The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, systems security, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure services internally and with external service providers. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational needs, systems security, and industry regulations.
SECTION 2: Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish job functions)Assists with technical issues in the initiation, planning, and maintenance phases of IT projects, including those involved with integrating new acquisitions into the organization's IT infrastructure to include:
The definition of needs, benefits, technical strategy, research & development within the project life cycleTechnical analysis and designSupport of operations staff in executing, testing, and rolling-out solutions
Participation on projects with a focus on smoothing the transition of projects from development to production by performing operations activities within project life cyclePerform systems administration and support including all technical & clerical duties.Performs systems administration and support for information security systems and controls.Handles information and communication systems' issues that arise from the use of the information systems.Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records related to system installation & maintenance.Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.Qualifications

Minimum ten (10) years of work experience in a medical information systems position, required.SECTION 6: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
Professional in appearance and actionsLogical and Critical thinking skillsCustomer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skillsInfatuation with learning new technologies and systemsDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations
Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support needsAble to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingMathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solvingBasic to intermediate computer operationProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookSpecialty knowledge of systems relating to job functionKnowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelinesSECTION 7: Supervisory Responsibilities:
