POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for directing and managing all New and Used activities to meet dealership market share performance, profit and customer satisfaction goals and overall growth of the dealership. Establishes a fair, firm and fun working environment for all employees; placing employee development and growth as job one. Ensures all employees know and understand that the customers are the reason WE exist; and that our customers will experience a best in class experience through our employees’ team work and effective execution of their daily jobs. Plans, Organizes, Leads and Controls activities that will ensure both growth in revenue and control of expenses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all sales staff • Completes employee evaluations timely as described by each position description • Foster teamwork within the department and with all other departments • Establishes Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual goals by employee and for the department; and monitors the progress to each goal • Mentor and Coach Sales staff to meet and exceed WE standards in Volume and Gross Profit • Communicates effectively with all business contacts and ensures all employees know that an environment of open and honest communication is expected • Management of Inventory to meet or Exceed Company Standards • Manage and Oversee IMPACT Sales Process • Manage Inventory Turns and Days’ Supply • Ensures all employees maintain a professional appearance, works safely, and complies with all company policies • Prepares and administers an annual Business Plan for the Sales department • Travel to customer’s locations and develop relationships to ensure future business • Other duties as assigned by Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

• Reports Through the Division Manager (when applicable) otherwise to the EVP Sales

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Required • Two to Four years related experience and/or training; Preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Effective Communicator with all levels of daily business contacts • “Can Do, make it happen” attitude coupled with a High-energy level with a contagious optimism for the Company • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
