Headquartered in Mountain View, California, Aerospike has a global presence with offices in London, Bangalore, and Tel Aviv.As a Senior Backend Engineer at the Aerospike Cloud team, your role is pivotal in developing the Aerospike Cloud Platform - the company's Multi-Cloud Multi-Tenant Aerospike Platform cloud offering. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our global customer base.Responsibilities

Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on a long-term technology roadmapProduce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speedWrite code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecksOptimize backend services for performance and scalabilityDevelop automated unit and integration tests to ensure business needs are met.Required skills and qualifications

Excellent foundation in computer science and algorithmsProficient knowledge of one or more statically typed back-end programming languages (Go, Kotlin, Java, Scala)Experience with at least one of the major public cloud providers: AWS, Google, AzureExperience with NoSQL and relational databases and database fundamentals, including data storage, data replication, data modeling, and data access patternsExperience with developing, deploying, and maintaining distributed services with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE)Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline enginesTechnical knowledge and understanding of techniques and standards for authentication, authorization, and encryptionPreferred skills and qualifications
