Determine and implement a Continuous Improvement strategy for the company and regionDrive CI across the EnterpriseImprove employee engagement, collaboration and maturity in CI performanceDetailed Description

Ensure full deployment of the Celestica Continuous Improvement roadmap by applying Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing for improving the operation and non-operation process in the regionCreate formal methodologies for building, executing and driving process improvement initiatives, and sustaining CI programsManage and develop the CI Regional team/trainers to lead the CI culture within regionWork with key business stakeholders to build a CI environment and culture to support a change management programCollaborate with CI regional and global CI organization for the continuous improvement execution following the CI framework and Celestica Operating SystemDrive the adoption and measurement of the Systematic CI Framework Standards, including key system elements like CI Committee and Management Gemba, while reflecting on and enhancing the StandardsProvide hands-on leadership and motivation to site and regional personnel to implement Lean and Six Sigma best practicesEnsure that senior leaders participate in kaizenLead and collaborate with site’s productivity projects related to Continuous Improvement and support the project funnel in the Cost Productivity RoadmapDrive the CI culture, by helping to develop and implement the CI training programs and lead the training deployment and focusing on the flow of value to customers, both internal and externalLead and facilitate process improvement-based CI workshops to drive ideas and solutions to achieve the site’s objectivesProvide the annual CI activities execution plan, take the lead on executing activities, and performance enhancement to accomplish business objectivesLead the sharing, deployment and recognition of best practicesDemonstrated experience of identifying the need for and implementing process improvements that resulted in significant gains in operational efficienciesDemonstrated success in leading/facilitating a CI transformationStrong professional acumen and effective written and verbal communication skillsProven project management and organizational skills and expertiseMust have the ability to handle multiple priority tasks in a manner that meets business requirementsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority by acting as a change agentTrains/coaches/mentors others in CI subject matterThe ability to apply the scientific method through PDCA or DMAIC to solve complex cross-functional and technical problems where the symptom(s) and/or root cause(s) are not understoodExperience in key facets of complex manufacturing and support function environmentsDemonstrated experience in deploying CI across entire value streamsProven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and across all geographiesAbility to develop vision and strategyLeadership experience within a matrix organizationPeople management and development experienceChange ManagementCommunicationPlanningProblem solvingResults orientedLeadershipTime ManagementTeamworkInitiativeFlexibilityPhysical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in generally good conditions with occasional exposure (10% - 33%) to noise, odours, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.Duties may require regular periods of sitting and/or standing and sustained visual concentration on observing operations. Repetitive manual movements (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, time studies, assembling workstations/racking, labeling, floor taping, etc., as applicable) are regularly required.Occasional overnight travel is required.Typical Experience

12+ years of experience in the EMS industryShould have deployed CI in another location and understand the fundamentals as to how this works by working as a black belt and then moving to manager/directorExperience with change management programs and organizational changeOperations experience is also essentialManagement and leadership experienceTypical Education
