Program Director - Basketball
Groton Parks & Recreation
Seasonal, up to 18 hours per week (to include weekends & some weeknight practices)
STARTING RATE:
$21.50 / HOUR
POSITION RANGE:
$21.50 - $22.50 / HOUR
Four years of work experience in group recreational activities or related field. Knowledge of the rules of basketball. Director will supervise all aspects of coordinating the Groton Basketball Association, including recruitment, scheduling and training of coaches, player recruitment, assignments, and enforcement of rules and corrective action, if needed. Must be able to coordinate with Board of Education and regional towns for games and practice. Duties include supervising scorekeepers, referees, coaches, parents, players, and facilities. Strong communication, problem solving, customer service, and decision-making ability required.
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle license.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Review of applications with best qualified candidates eligible for oral examination.
