Apply for our Administrative Director of Surgical Services role today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Administrative Director of Surgical Services has a strategic focus to provide outstanding patient service, grow the service line, develop leadership, and manage resources. They are responsible for maintaining strong physician and administration relationships and are able to function at a high level of business acumen.What you will do in this role:Actively participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees as assigned.Advance the customer experience in Surgical Services.Coach immediate subordinates through feedback and performance documentation.Adhere to all Human Resource policies.Effectively communicate departmental and organizational information to staff.Facilitate evidence-based employee engagement practices.Build strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and department goals.Utilize talent review data for pipeline development.Foster strategic career advancement for perioperative services leaders.Set a strategic vision and goals for the department.Design standards of care for surgical services and develop processes to ensure compliance.Monitor compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies.Oversee a PI program that monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care.Ensure delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies and professional standards.Promote cooperation and collaboration with other departments and community agencies.Seek new program strategies and enhancements to expand patient services.Develop, prioritize, and defend capital equipment requests.Responsible for the fiscal management of the department.Promote service line growth through building strategic relationships.Strive to become the OR of Choice for physicians, patients, staff, and payers.Demonstrate a poised and confident demeanor that commands respect.Develop and build strategic internal and external networks.Promote consistent positive patient interactions.Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”Perform other duties as assigned.What qualifications you will need:Bachelor's degree in nursing required.Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.3+ years of experience in surgical services required.3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred.Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice required.Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.HCA Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
