About the Role:
As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be at the forefront of assessing and treating patients with intricate wounds, ostomies, and continence conditions. Collaborating closely with our patient care team, you will craft personalized treatment plans to prevent infections and injuries, ensuring optimal healing and well-being. Your expertise will be vital in managing diverse complex wounds, from ulcers and burns to diabetic foot wounds and skin tears.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments and vigilant monitoring of wounds.
Administer meticulous wound cleaning and bandaging.
Collaborate with patient care team to determine optimal treatments.
Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, infection prevention, and more.
Write orders to expedite wound healing and prevent skin breakdown.
Serve as a motivational cheerleader for patients during challenging procedures.
Advocate for patients' physical and mental well-being.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license with specialized wound care training.
Empathy, patience, and ambition to overcome patients' physical and mental hurdles.
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively.
Drive to stay updated on the latest best practices and advancements.
