Our diverse team is comprised of industry subject matter experts, highly skilled multi-function engineers, designers, researchers, strategists and sales partners.We are seeking a senior full-stack developer with strong back-end knowledge and experience building innovative and highly performant applications to help deliver new, market disrupting risk & compliance capabilities to market. The successful candidate will have a strong background and proven track record of delivering highly scalable, always available, secure, fault tolerant and cost-effective software and services from ideation to deployment.
What you'll do
Help lead a team of full stack software engineers with solid experience and a proven track record of delivering game changing, industry disrupting products to market, to create new solutions that help meet regulatory needs for our customers.Collaborate closely with a lead engineer as well as a highly skilled group of QA & Data engineers, data scientists, UX designers and user researchers to mold your solutions into highly performant, awe-inspiring experiences that help analyze, identify and prevent financial crime across the globeMentor junior engineers through pair-programming, code reviews and debugging sessions to increase their technical proficiency, maintain high development and coding standards and ensure best practices are being maintained and followedUtilize programming languages like JavaScript, Typescript, Python and Rust along with relational databases and big data stores such as Databricks to build cutting edge applications that change the game for our customers and keep them one step ahead of the adversaryShare your passion for technology by staying on top of industry trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities and mentoring your team members to grow them in to the next generation of technology leaders.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent military or professional experienceAt least 3 years of practical experience in software engineering (with an advanced degree)3+ years of experience with Javascript and Typescript2+ years of experience with React2+ years of experience with NodeJS1+ years of experience with Kubernetes or Docker1+ years of experience with Terraform1+ years of experience with cloud computing on AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or another major cloud service provider
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a STEM program of study4+ years experience with Javascript, Typescript and NodeJS3+ years of experience with Python3+ years of experience with React3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or another major cloud service provider2+ years of experience with Kubernetes or Docker or alternatively a valid CKAD certification2+ years experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server2+ years experience designing and developing production-quality RESTful APIs and microservices2+ years of experience with Terraform1+ years experience in Agile practices1+ years of experience with Rust
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,000.00 - $162,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
