The Office of Faculty Affairs and Services in the College of Nursing supports all phases of the faculty life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, promotion, and retirement. Additionally, it manages the administrative operations of multiple faculty divisions. Reporting to three Division Chairs, the Director of Faculty Affairs and Services oversees division staff and operations, ensuring confidentiality and meticulous attention to detail in academic faculty matters. This senior-level leader closely collaborates with the Dean’s Office, Human Resources, the Finance Office, and other relevant offices within the academic community to manage faculty hiring, reappointments, award of tenure, academic promotions, sabbatical leaves, and other faculty-related matters. The Director provides strategic direction by setting short and long-term goals, estimating budgetary requirements for staff, planning space, and implementing special projects and policies. The Director supervises a team of 5-7 staff members responsible for executing these key responsibilities.Responsibilities

Faculty Recruitment, Hiring, Appointments, and Promotions:

For tenure-line, career-line, and adjunct faculty, oversee and facilitate hiring processes, onboarding of new faculty, annual reappointments, formal reviews for promotions and award of tenure, annual informal evaluations, faculty contracts, and sabbatical leaves. In all cases, ensure clear, efficient, timely, and effective communication with all participants, coordinate and meet established deadlines, and manage confidential information.Faculty Affairs Programs:

Support and promote internal faculty programs, manage course evaluations, and organize recognition events and forums.Staff Management:

Direct the faculty support team, manage staff recruitment and foster retention, provide policy guidance, analyze workloads, and develop strategies to improve processes, achieve quality outcomes, and foster a positive work culture.Finance and Budget:

Review management reports and other financial summaries monthly, support faculty in managing their development funds, oversee processing of faculty travel and reimbursements.Data Analysis and Report Support:
