Splunk tool specs:3 search heads4 indexers1 master loader1 load balancer2 forwardersIt's current version is 8.5 running on MASH. Splunk is being used for metrics, diagnosing problems, and pulling data from repositories on our servers from tools such as casport, latteart, jira and confluence. This data is being assembled into dashboards.Role will Include:administer splunk clustersupgrade the tool when requiredAPI data callsIAVA supportCentOS7 to RHEL8 upgradeMoving to AWSpulling logs for serverscreating dashboards and briefing material using splunk data for COR-TWhat You’ll Get to Do:Establish a process to formally and proactively control and manage changes to requirements, consider impacts prior to commitment to change, gain stakeholder buy-in, eliminate ambiguity, ensure traceability to source requirements, and track and settle open actionsCoordinate with the customer on reporting vision, create Splunk reports, and deploy/manage them on dashboardsManage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment and operations & maintenanceDevelop scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needsEstablish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfacesScripting Experience (Python, etc) – Candidate will be expected to pull data from tools via RestAPI using python scripts.You’ll Bring These Qualifications:Seven (7) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredActive TS/SCI security clearance and a current polygraph is requiredNote: Four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
