DescriptionPosition: MS Azure DeveloperDuration: Fulltime with CompQsoftWork Location: Elizabeth City, NCOur customer: United States Coast Guard (USCG)Clearance: Active DOD SecretTentative Start date: 03/01/2025Requirements:Provides technical/management leadership on Application Cloud Migration. Provides direction in Azure Cloud infrastructure implementation to support application development in Azure. This includes but not limited to advisement on best practices application deployment and foundation configuration. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others. Provide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems in the subject matter area. Make recommendations and advise on organization-wide system improvements, optimization or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; lifecycle management; software development methodologies; and modeling and simulation. Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise. Participates in supporting the enterprise applications through the use of industry accepted practices for the evaluation of alternative innovative solutions to meet customer's existing requirements and USCG modernization efforts. Participate in the internal validation documentation to include, but not limited to, technical specifications, special instructions, and regression test plans. Participates in debugging software and identify required corrections to meet specified requirements.RequirementsEducationBachelor's or associate degree in related field or at minimum Information Technology (IT) Certification.ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years' experience to include design, migration, writing, and testing of computer programs or database development in an Azure Cloud Environment. Experience in principles, practices, or procedures used in phases of application/system lifecycle development, cloud migration, engineering, programming, and/or analysis.
