Overview:

Supports HR by maintaining personnel files, vacancy and selection process files, and new hire orientation scheduling.Responsibilities:Greets all incoming visitors, applicants and employees. Answers basic questions applicants, employees or external customers may have. Routes more detailed questions/concerns to the appropriate person/department.Assists in maintaining employee personnel files. Tracks any outstanding documents needed.Performs copying, scanning, filing, faxing, mailing, sorting mail, emailing, and answering phones.Assists with posting open positions, updating spreadsheets, and maintaining vacancy files.Supports the employment selection function by scheduling interviews, addressing inquiries of applicants, following up with hiring managers, and sending hiring surveys.Utilizes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Drive applications for completion of departmental projects.Assists the HR team with special projects and document tracking during high volume times (i.e. insurance open enrollment, employee wage contracts and memos, etc.).Maintains confidentiality when handling employee forms and other related information.Maintains the neat and welcoming appearance of HR office so that it is inviting to visitors.Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives. Adheres to the organizations policies & procedures and compliance guidelines.Per the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act),
a federal consumer protection law, your job position entails functions that meet the definition of a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs have a duty to report any crime to the Colleges Clery Compliance Officer. This information may be disclosed to them directly, through third-party, or witnessed. As a CSA, you are required to complete annual training which is provided by the College. This training encompasses your role, responsibilities, and reporting obligations .Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality, in verbal and written format, with various constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and community members.Ability to be a self-starter, taking appropriate initiative on tasks that may not have been assigned, but are necessary.Ability to work independently.Willingness and ability to learn and utilize new software program(s).Education, Certification, Licensure:Must be enrolled as student of Mid.Experience:Experience in use of computer applications preferred.Experience in customer service preferred.Working Environment:
The job responsibilities of this position are performed in an office building environment.Duties are performed in an independent and team atmosphere. Continuous collaboration with team and supervisor will occur.The job requires minimal physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (5- 25 pounds).Minimal discomfort due to heat, dust and noise may occur.Work schedule can vary based on needs.Note: This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a person assigned to this job.
