Underthe direction of the staff pharmacist and pharmacy supervisor, the Pharmacytechnician assists in all technical aspects of prescription filling anddispensing activities, within the scope of their license. Duties includeprocessing, filling and dispensing prescriptions as well as inventorymanagement, medication delivery at bedside, prior authorization, TARs SARs,Mailout process, medication reconciliation and other duties as assigned.
Schedule:Varied hours, depending on department needs, including weekends and holidays
HourlySalary Range: $26.55 - 32.36 (Union represented, step based salary depending onyears of experience)
BargainingUnit: EX - AFSCME
Qualifications
We'reseeking a dedicated professional with:
CaliforniaPharmacy Technician License
Abilityto work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimalsupervision
Customerservice, and problem solving skills
Knowledgeof medical terminology, pharmaceutical abbreviations, pharmaceuticalgeneric/trade names and their dosage forms, and the ability to cross-referencecommon drugs from memory
Intenseand consistent concentration with attention to detail, and requires speed andaccuracy
Telephoneand verbal skills required to communicate clearly and effectively withpharmacists, nurses, physicians and other allied health professionals
Abilityto frequently required to stand, sit, and walk
Abilityto lift 25 lbs and push 50 lbs
