Environmental Compliance Manager - Salt Lake City

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a large industrial composites manufacture looking to add a Environmental Manager to their Flagship site in Salt Lake City.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will focus primarily on ensuring compliance with Title V and air quality regulations, as well as overseeing permitting efforts for our water treatment facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining our site's ISO 14001 certification and ensuring that our operations align with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and ensure compliance with Title V and air quality regulations.Manage and coordinate permitting activities for the site's water treatment facility.Conduct environmental audits and assessments to maintain ISO 14001 certification.Develop and implement environmental compliance programs and initiatives.Stay updated on changes in environmental regulations and ensure company-wide awareness and adherence.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business operations.Prepare and submit regulatory reports, permits, and other required documentation accurately and on time.Respond to environmental incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Qualifications:Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industries dealing with chemical processes or industrial materials. Demonstrated experience with environmental regulatory compliance, particularly with Title V regulations, is essential.In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Title V compliance requirements, air quality regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act), and permitting processes is required. Experience managing and coordinating permits for a water treatment facility is highly desirable.Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.Experience managing water treatment facility permitting and compliance preferred.Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and experience maintaining certification.Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar certification is a plus.
