What You'll Do:Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.Leads and prepares design documents, technical plans, written reports on projects.Implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including recruitment, hiring, development, retention, and succession of project staff.Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships and pursuit efforts.May be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development and retention of staff.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field and 10 years relevant experience.2 years of successful management of projects.What You'll Bring:Creates, develops and maintains client relationships.Leads all aspects of NEPA environmental document development.Understands environmental policy, regulations, permits and NEPA guidelines.Leads internal and external coordination with project team members.Leads client meetings, participates in client meetings and interactions.Conducts or directs research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to planning.Prepares graphics, technical reports, fee proposals, and responses to Request for Proposals for planning projects.Coordinates with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house personnel on a regular basis to complete assigned tasks.Mentors and assists younger staff in career development.What We Prefer:Master's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Business, Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design or related field.American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP), Registered Landscape Architect (RLA), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP).12 years relevant experience.Additional InformationVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.
