We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.Medicines Development (LRL @TechLilly) serves as a strategic function within Lilly Research Laboratories partnering with the Medicines Development Unit (MDU). The MDU focuses on taking potential marketable products from Research through product registration and approval. MD (LRL @TechLilly) focuses on the MDU business needs of the future, enabling improvements through information and technology solutions. The teams define and influence information and business strategies, design and develop solutions to achieve strategic outcomes, and ensure reliable deployment and support of these solutions.The technical lead will be responsible for designing, developing the cross-functional consumer data requests through delivery while working across solution delivery, support, information consultants and account teams as well as other key partners. Additionally, this role will also engage in transformational and enterprise level efforts to innovate and accelerate our value delivery.The technical lead will be responsible for end-to-end processes like taking the requirement, preparing the AI ML models and starting development of components, changing the code, and deploying to production with the help of the support team. If you are someone who has a blend of technical and soft skills and is open to wide-ranging responsibilities — this role will be a great fit for you!Software Engineer Roles & Responsibilities:Understands business requirements and effectively translates business needs and processes into technical terms, and vice versa. Coach and guide the junior engineers.Uses standardized processes for requirements definition, analysis, design, construct, and test activities.Design, develop, and deploy generative AI models and chat bots.Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand and deliver scalable AI solutions.Fine tune models based on statistical analysis. Train/Re-train systems/models when needed.Utilize libraries and frameworks such as LangChain.Document the processes to ensure reproducibility and maintainability.Collaborate with team members during code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions to grow as a team.Required Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent years of experience). Ability to adapt quickly in a constantly changing environment.Must have experience in software development life cycle, spanning project initiation through support. Understanding the development, testing and validation of lifecycles.Azure GenAI
hands-on experience.Must have a good understanding and experience in advanced
machine learning algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models (LLM) .Good experience with
LLMs like OpenAI, Llama2, etc.Good understanding & experience of frameworks like
Langchain, and Llamaindex, which are used to build Gen AI solutions.Python (intermediate level at least) , Numpy, Pandas, Scikit learn, Model deployment, Feature engineering, data pre-processing, Kubernetes, Docker, Github.Experience in
building chatbots with available models.Good exposure to
AWS cloud services like Lambda, S3, EC2 etc.Additional Skills/Preferences:Previous Pharmaceutical IT experience would be an added advantage.Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.Demonstrated ability to learn modern technologies quickly.Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills.Excellent self-management skills. Strong problem-solving skills, Process improvement skills.Organization skills, Self-management. Demonstrated ability to evaluate, facilitate, and drive towards risk-based decision making. Proven team player and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, where needs and priorities can change, with compressed deadlines.Deep learning, ML Ops: ML Flow/Kubeflow
