Location: Bloomfield Plant – Bloomfield, NM

Full-Time position with hours Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Work outside normal hours is to be expected. Must be available outside normal hours as neededTravel:

25% Overnight Travel is required to assist other sites, attend company events, audits, and conferences and visits to regulatory authoritiesThe Environmental Health & Safety Engineer ensures compliance with all federal, state and local safety, environmental and transportation regulations and is responsible for all aspects of the site safety and environmental programs and for implementation of internal safety and environmental pro

Duties and Responsibilities

(not limited to)Oversees safety and environmental compliance for the Bloomfield facility including day to day operations, incoming spent carbons, air permit, wastewater discharge and stormwater requirementsAssists with EHS duties at other facilities as assigned by ManagerParticipates in daily plant meetings, Inspects the plant daily, provides safety and environmental training to employeesPrepares all annual and periodic environmental reports for the assigned facilities including but not limited to all SARA reporting, DMR, annual air permit certifications, deviation reports and others as requiredPrepares permit renewal applications and modifications for air water and waste permitsDevelops and or implements environmental programs for the Bloomfield facilityOther EH&S projects to Support the Bloomfield facility or other Calgon Carbon location as assigned by the Director of EH&SImplement Calgon Carbon and Kuraray corporate safety and environmental requirementsPerforms daily site inspections, interacts with employees, contractors and management to assure day to day operational safetySupports an accident-free culturePerforms Behavioral Based Safety Observations

QualificationsA bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (A degree in environmental sciences, engineering, chemistry, or other technical discipline/work experience is preferred)3-5 years
