Women’s Ministry & Worship/Missions Director Sunset Church

Sunset Church is excited to announce the opening of a new Women’s Ministry & Worship/Missions Director! This dynamic role will provide leadership and vision for both the women’s ministry and either the worship or missions ministry at our church. We are seeking a candidate with a passion for empowering women and a heart for worship or missions.
For the Women’s Ministry, this person will strive to build and encourage a community of godly women who are committed to building up the body of Christ and fulfilling our mission as a church by overseeing the development and coordination of ministry to the women at Sunset Church.
For the Worship Ministry, this person will oversee the music and stage presence components of services at Sunset Church.
For the Missions Ministry, this person will strive to establish and embolden a missional mindset within the church community while managing and encouraging our support missionary units.
Responsibilities:Women’s Ministry
Develop and oversee regular opportunities (e.g., women’s bible study, events, retreats) that meet the unique spiritual and emotional needs of women at Sunset Church.
Provide one-on-one discipleship, teaching, and coaching to the women within the ministry, providing spiritual guidance and prayer as needed.
Equip a leadership team of committed women to further efforts to meet the unique needs of women at Sunset Church.
Cast the vision and direction of the Women’s Ministry motivating others to fulfill the vision.
Worship Ministry
Plan and oversee weekly worship service programs for English services.
Collaborate with production leads (Audio, Video, Lighting and Congregation) to create a gospel centered worship experience.
Recruit, train and shepherd worship ministry volunteers (e.g. musicians).
Oversee music and overall worship experience for special events as needed.
Missions Ministry
Identify and maintain partnerships/relationships with supported missionary units and missionary organizations directly and through partner advocates.
Create and oversee a missionary care strategy for the congregation at Sunset Church (e.g., “Adopt a Missionary, Missions Moment, etc.).
Identify and manage short-term mission opportunities to our supported missionary units or missionary partners. This includes identify team leaders, conducting training, and financial plan development for short term mission teams.
General
Development and oversee day-to-day management of both ministry budgets.
Collaborate with other church leaders to carry out the overall vision of Sunset Church.
Serve and support the mission of Christ through Sunset Church.
Comply with the Sunset Church’s Code of Conduct.
Fulfill the requirements and duties of a Sunset Church member.
Abide by Sunset Church’s Article of Faith as defined in the constitution.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate the Gospel in various ways and in various contexts and cultures.
Solid theological grounding and ability to translate truth.
Skilled project and event management experience.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the drive to pursue excellence in both broad and detailed way.
Demonstrates musical ability and vocal acumen. An ability to play an instrument preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
2 years of experience in related field preferred.
Possesses spiritual maturity and character consistent with biblical requirements for church leadership. A proven track record of developing leaders is preferred.
Establishes, if not already, membership at Sunset Church.
Proven success at multi-tasking, time management, prioritizing, and influencing a team.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team to plan, communicate and implement a cohesive vision and purpose.
Ability to work with and maintain positive, loyal relationships with others inside and outside the church.
Philosophical alignment with church leadership.
Able to effectively deal with conflict in a healthy, biblical manner.
Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality and trust regarding church and member information.
Ability to anticipate and function well in a changing environment.
Possess a strong passion for ministering to women and for missions.
Speaks in public with ease and is gifted in teaching the Scripture.
