About us
Our School is a private, licensed, non-profit, non-partisan, interracial, integrated program in Glenwood Springs, Colorado serving children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and their families. Our School’s mission is to provide the best Early Childhood program for children when they are away from their parents, and our developmentally-oriented program provides an equally important service to parents while they work. Our School was founded in 1997 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and we purchased our permanent facility in 2007.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Director to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in early childhood education and a passion for working with young children. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the preschool, including curriculum development (in collaboration with classroom teachers), staff management, and parent communication. Additionally, the Preschool Director should be experienced in fundraising and budgeting and support the continuation of Our School’s long-term strategic plan.
We are looking for a leader who is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students and who can ensure that our preschool meets all state and federal regulations. The Preschool Director must have their Director’s certificate in good standing with the state of Colorado. The ideal candidate has extensive early childhood education experience, excellent communication skills, leadership/management experience, fundraising experience, and a strong sense of the financial aspect of running a business.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum for preschool-aged children.
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
Supervise staff and provide guidance and support to teachers.
Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
Prioritize the financial stability of the school and spearhead fundraising efforts.
Develop relationships with families, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Plan special events and other activities for students.
