Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, the Administrator will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio supporting the school. The administrator will provide accurate, responsive, and service-driven support to the school, including but not limited to managing the operating budgets (restricted and non-restricted funds) of the school's thematic and regional studies centers.The Administrator will manage the finances and oversee all expenditures, including determining needs, and preparing budget and monthly financial reports. The administrator will be responsible for processing accounts payable, approving expense reports in Concur, monitoring faculty research accounts, payroll, and year-end closing. In coordination with the Pardee Executive Director, the Administrator will manage the sponsored research administration of the school and assist with all HR functions of the school, including student payroll. This position also supports the Pardee Center within the school. The Administrator will prepare and administer all financial matters of this Center, including annual budgets, quarterly reports, year-end closings, requisitions, travel expense reports, procurement, reconciliation of special projects/initiatives, and all other related paperwork. The Administrator will also support the Pardee Center's events and activities, including lectures, visiting programs, summer fellows, faculty fellows, and other activities as approved by the Executive Director and the Director of the Center.Required Skills

5-8 years of professional experience in academia with at least 3 years of prior grant/project administration experience.Solid understanding of sponsor/university guidelines, policies, and procedures including federal funding agencies such as NIH, and foundations.The ability to exercise independent judgement to ensure compliance with established university procedures and policies among the research community.Excellent attention to detail and a service-oriented approach.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritize between competing tasks and projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, faculty, administrators, and central administrative offices.Knowledge of SAP, Concur, and BU systems preferred.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, natural or protective hairstyle, religion, sex, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military service, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, or because of marital, parental, or veteran status.
