Brief Description of Duties

The incumbent will be responsible for handling all data needs for the University of the District of Columbia Community College (UDC-CC). This position will support the growth, effectiveness, and efficiency of the institution by providing clear and useful data to faculty and administrators through careful data acquisition, analysis, and representation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for managing, developing, and coordinating Institutional Research functions for UDC-CC. This includes data acquisition, management, analysis, interpretation, and representation. Developing and maintaining predictive models to assist with enrollment, and completion to graduation. Developing SQL code to extract data from the University Data Warehouse and other databases. Participate as a member of the Student Success and Assessment Committees. Provide data support to programs related to accreditation. Monitor the accuracy of institutional data and identify institution data needs. Respond to internal and external requests for data about UDC-CC. Work closely with senior administrators, key representatives, and campus committees in the processes involved in resource allocations, enrollment management, and system data requirements. Assist the college by providing reliable, relevant, and quality data and information to facilitate planning, budgeting, accountability, program evaluation, and development of policy decisions. Enhance effective data and information flow within UDC-CC. Conduct various types of research and analysis. Develop useful reports on research projects to support effective decision-making. Work with faculty to review data on student learning outcomes and course evaluations. Manage all data needed to relate to UDC-CC’s work with Achieving the Dream and Complete College America. Work closely with UDC office of Institutional Research. Understand the mission, goals, policies, systems, structures, and organization of the institution and work to support such functions. Performs other related duties assigned. Minimum Job Requirements Master’s degree in economics, statistics, or other quantitatively oriented discipline. Three years of experience in research-related positions Two years supervisory or management skills needed. Information to Applicant Collective Bargaining Unit (Union):

A person applying for a position who is a bona fide District resident at the time of application for the position, may be awarded a 10-point residency preference over non-District applicants, unless the person declines the preference points. If selected, the person shall be required to present no less than 8 proofs of bona fide District residency on or before the effective date of the appointment and maintain such residency for 7 consecutive years from the effective date of the appointment. Failure to maintain bona fide District residency for the 7-year period will result in forfeiture of employment. Drug-Free Workplace:

Pursuant to the requirements of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, the individual selected to fill this position will, as a condition of employment, be required to notify his/her immediate supervisor, in writing, not later than five (5) days after conviction of any criminal drug statute occurring in the workplace. Employment with the University of the District of Columbia is contingent upon a satisfactory background investigation. The determination of a "satisfactory background investigation" is made at the sole discretion of the University of the District of Columbia.
