CLIENT ACCOUNTING SERVICES SUPERVISOR

We are seeking a Client Accounting Services Supervisor with a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping for external clients. This position plays a crucial role in providing superior client service in a fast‐paced, rapidly changing environment. Successful candidates will be an enthusiastic team player and service oriented professional, and have experience in managing client work, reviewing and balancing department workflow, and the training and development of department staff.

Key Client Responsibilities :

Perform accounting services, including bank and general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, compile financial statements, and create/maintain financial projections.

Support the quarterly annual payroll and sales tax reporting and the annual 1099 and property tax return preparation processes for clients.

Prepare and review work papers and financial statements.

Prepare and review engagement deliverables to ensure that firm and professional standards are met.

Manage the engagement and workflow of all client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements to minimize risk and optimize service.

Proactively identify beneficial KPIs to discuss with clients, provide value-added consulting, and potentially expand services.

Keep the department’s Senior Manager informed about client updates, engagement status, budget adherence, and technical issues.

Proactively identify and execute appropriate delegation opportunities for department responsibilities.

Continually build on technical expertise in accounting and financial reporting by attending continuing professional education courses or utilizing other training resources.

Demonstrated prior team supervision experience with team accountability.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline.

In depth knowledge of accounting systems, programs, concepts, and regulations.

At least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in field.

At least 2 years of process and people leadership experience working closely with management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and the ability to master additional software programs is essential.

Annual base pay: $85,000 - $115,000 annually
