The Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is currently recruiting for a full-time postdoctoral position.This position is available immediately in the Scumpia Laboratory, which is focused on cutaneous systems biology research in the following thematic areas:Combining RNA-seq, ChIP-Seq, ATAC-seq (including single cell approaches) datasets with transgenic mice and murine models of human disease to obtain mechanistic insights into cells and molecular pathways into skin disease.Understand the mechanisms of skin fibrosis, regeneration, or inflammation using integrated genomic technologies and cells from transgenic/KO mice.The ideal candidates must have experience with:RNA expression profiles, molecular pathway analysis (GO, GSEA, etc.)Cell to cell interactionsTools for handling large data setsInterested individuals should have:Experience with analysis of highly parallel sequencing data: R, A plus, or other coding language but may be acquired via training by our current postdoctoral fellow.Fluency in English and strong written and oral communication skills.At least one first-authored publication in a peer-reviewed journal.A Ph.D. is required.The shared values of the DGSOM are expressed in the Cultural North Star, which was developed by members of our community and affirms our unswerving commitment to doing what's right, making things better, and being kind.
