DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION:SAIC has an immediate opening for a Project Manager with a background in Information Technology (IT) Network Engineering services to oversee the cost, schedule, and performance activities of an Enterprise IT Network Service Provider. The successful applicant will participate within a team of network Systems Engineers and Technical Advisors (SETAs) to oversee the design, delivery, enhancement, and recapitalization of a multi-site environment leveraging Routers, Firewalls, VPNs, and associated technologies/services. Candidates will leverage their background in implementing network infrastructure and provisioning of backbones, CANs/LANs, Access Controls, VLANs, and similar network related solutions to assess the service provider’s proposed approaches for solving organizational needs. Customers may require candidates to perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements definition, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications. Candidates must be able to effectively quantify specific, detailed information for their recommendations in written and verbal formats (e.g., slide presentations, Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), etc.) Candidates may be called upon to assess Service Provider proposed implementation techniques, assess future mission demand requirements against planned capacity deliveries, assess facility requirements (including floor layout, power cooling, network connectivity), data storage, backup, monitoring, operations systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.At a minimum the successful candidate must be able to:Demonstrate a working understanding of Cisco and/or Juniper Operating SystemsDemonstrate a working understanding of network integration with physical, virtual, and cloud based technologiesDemonstrate strong oral and written communications skills to facilitate clear and concise delivery statuses on multiple, concurrent activitiesDemonstrate the ability to perform requirements analysis, schedule reviews, and cost estimations (i.e., Service Portfolio Management)Demonstrate the ability to perform as a change agent focused on translating customer requirements into service provider taskingDemonstrate the ability to prepare program plans, to include budget and schedule developmentDemonstrate the ability to conduct risk assessments of proposed service provider deliveriesDemonstrate the ability to strategically assess a customer’s vision and needs and translate them into opportunities to influence and improve service delivery qualityQualificationsTYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors in a STEM field of study and nine (9) years or more work experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more work experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more work experience, * Applicable work experiences of more than eleven (11) years may be substituted for a degreeCisco and/or Juniper certification (even if expired) is a plusPMP and/or Agile certification is a plus, but not requiredITIL certification is a plus, but not requiredCLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with poly
