Director of AccountingDallas, TX - Hybrid, 2 Days OnsiteOne of Vaco's software clients is looking to onboard a Director of Accounting as part of an overall effort to "upgrade" their finance and accounting teams as the company continues to grow. This person will serve as a true finance partner internally and with the PE group. Would love to see someone with publicly-traded experience out of smaller, more hands-on shops.Company offers unlimited PTO, company-sponsored annual trips abroad, super flexible schedule and promotional opportunities with the PE group.Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger system, including chart of accounts maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with auditing standards.Tax Compliance: Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar fieldCPA requiredPublic accounting experience highly preferredPublic company experience required
