Position Overview

The Strategy Manager, Fraud and Risk will report to the Senior Director of the Payee Identification and Network Security (PINS) team that oversees Zelis Payments' Fraud, Risk, and Identity Verification organization. The PINS team centrally manages Fraud, Onboarding/Verifications, and Account Servicing for Zelis clients, addressing issues related to account takeover, business identification, bank account validation, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Build a deep understanding of team functions working with team managers to provide operational support, gather feedback from teams, and make recommendations to processes to drive improvements and efficiencies.

Project leadership to drive team objectives and provide tracking of activities, key deliverables, and timelines; provide status updates to key stakeholders, as necessary.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, including Payment Operations, Compliance, Product, and business unit leaders to understand pain points and areas of risk; build and own relationships with key stakeholders.

Assist in reviewing third party vendors for tooling and aid in the implementation across PINS and relevant stakeholder groups in conjunction with product team.

Work closely with PINS teams to identify areas of improvement and lead data-driven initiatives to boost PINS performance, tracking and post-mortem to gauge impact of change.

Package PINS strategic story for PowerPoint presentations in a compelling, crisp way for internal and external communications (e.g., materials for Town Halls).

Able to influence and clearly articulate team messaging, creating a risk-conscious culture across business stakeholder groups.

Escalate potential issues to Senior Director to ensure proper action and attention are given to resolve any issues.

Gain diverse perspectives, gather decision-making information, and support initiatives focused on process optimization, system automation, and balancing risk, expense, and experience.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of professional work experience, including 1-2 years at a top strategy consulting firm.

Experience managing multiple projects at a time in a dynamic work environment.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Operating experience in Healthcare Technology, Payments, Trust & Safety, or Risk Management.

CAPM or PMP Certification.

Capable of turning ideas into actions, organize work and ownership in a clear way, and can delegate tasks effectively.

Advanced degree.
