We offer live and on-demand professional development opportunities to grow your skillset and your career.What You'll doIn this role, you'll be a key second line of defense teammate and will be responsible for executing compliance routines as an individual contributor. In your role, you'll receive onboarding and training that will enable you to learn and execute banking compliance routines and activities. This role is focused on tactical, or day-to-day, routines and tasks that are required by internal policies, and external laws, rules, and regulations.How you'll make an impact:Execute the day-to-day processes to keep our bank in compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide feedback and engage partners to improve and streamline processes to make our bank more efficient.Support learning projects that improve Compliance knowledge of teammates.What you can expect:Execute key responsibilities for compliance programs, projects, and engagements with bank-wide impact.Execution of internal and external regulatory compliance routines and tasks, including the ability to escalate potential non-compliance with internal policies and procedures or external laws, rules, or regulations.Deliver and act on compliance reporting, and related gaps related to the effectiveness of Bank-wide compliance activities, with an emphasis on compliance with laws, rules, and regulations including AML/BSA, and process, risk, and control inventories.Support Compliance leadership when working with key stakeholders, including regulatory/legal partners to respond to internal and external (e.g. FHFA, Legal, SOX, RMG teams, Audit) inquiries and requests for compliance related information.Deliver world-class service to internal business partners, and maintain strong relationships with teammates.Ownership and execution of regulatory responsibility, including execution of AML/BSA responsibilities as designated by the bank's AML/BSA Officer.What you'll bring:2 plus years in Financial Services, mortgage experience is a plus.1 plus year of Compliance experience, administrative experience, or AML/BSA experience; or ability to complete AML/BSA certification within 6-months of hire.Significant attention to detail.MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).Tableau preferred.Must be self-directed with high energy level.Well organized and can ensure team meets high number of deadlines reliably.Strong, effective communication resulting in an understanding of the message from others.Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.The PerksAt FHLBank Chicago, we believe in rewarding our high performing workforce.
