We are currently looking for an
Operating Room X-Ray Technologist
to join our
Imaging
team.
Hours are Monday - Friday 10:30a - 7p in the OR and HOPD. Hours could vary from time to time.
This position will participate in an on-call rotation of 4-5 shifts per month.
May be eligible for Sign-On Bonus!
Job Summary:
The OR X-Ray Radiology Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during the following procedures: myelogram, arthrogram, aspiration and steroid injection exams. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the ED and the In-Patient areas and any walk-in, routine X-rays ordered. The North Central Imaging department is a fast-paced area, and the technologist must be flexible to move between multiple exams, areas, and be able to manage his/her time effectively and communicate well while maintaining a positive attitude.
Required Skills:
Must possess strong patient satisfaction skill set
Must possess independent decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple patients
Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and their family
Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way
Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
AART Registered in Radiology
Experience with the following equipment is desired: C-arm (large and mini), O-arm, Portable Digital Equipment
BLS current
Must have a current Texas state license to Texas Medical Board
3 years of hospital experience preferred
Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations
