We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Personalization and Recommendations team to help scale our machine learning model development capabilities. As a member of this cross-functional group, you will collaborate with product, other machine learning focused data scientists, and engineers to build custom large-scale models that drive engagement. We are a team of individuals passionate about providing enjoyable user experiences through the application of machine learning for search, personalization, and recommendations.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESBuild machine learning models across all phases of development: from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementationDevelop models that leverage large volumes of data, optimize their performance, and ensure the scalability of your solutionsIdentify opportunities and new applications of machine learning to improve the impact of personalization and recommendations efforts across our product offeringsResearch and deliver novel solutions for emerging problem spaces within the personalization machine learning domainCollaborate with other data scientists, data engineers, and ML infrastructure engineers in this cross-functional teamPromote best practices in machine learning system development, testing, and evaluationWhat You Will NeedExperience building machine learning models, with experience and expertise in personalization and recommendation systems, preferably in the streaming video spaceA demonstrable track record of successfully training, deploying, monitoring, and iterating on large-scale machine learning models in a production environmentFluency with Python, and experience developing production models using TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.Strong experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and familiarity with Databricks or similar platformsAbility to adapt to new technologies quickly and find creative solutions to business problemsYou write understandable, testable code and have an eye towards maintainabilityYou care about the implications of your work on end usersYou are comfortable working in a fast-paced and innovative environmentYou have effective communication skills, and can discuss highly technical details as well as describe your work to non-technical audiences
