We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.This role will be working within our AI group and focus on the research, development and delivery of Innovative AI solutions within our products. You'll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, data engineers and product managers that deliver our product roadmap. You'll help design the solutions and ensure their technical success by making sure they are scalable, robust and maintainable.The successful candidate for this role must have a strong Software Engineering background and understand the challenges of delivering products with a commitment to incremental delivery. Proven experience of leading complex software engineering projects, and the ability to articulate ideas effectively across multiple business areas is essential.As one of our Senior Engineers you will:
Work with our product team to understand the problems our customers face and design solutions to solve them.Break complex problems down into small iterations and lead others on their implementation.Write maintainable, testable, and optimised code – and help junior team members do the same.Build CI / CD pipelines to ensure the robust and repeatable deployment of our services.Collaborate with teams that want to use the data platform and identify feedback that will improve the platform.Ensure the high-quality implementation and delivery of our roadmap.Be supported to grow and develop your skills.You're a great fit for this role if:
You've got experience building web services and working with AWS.You want to be part of a high performing team.You've had some exposure to agile ways of working, test driven development and paired programming.You understand that people build software and know the importance of communication and collaboration.We use a wide variety of tools and technologies across our products, for this role we're looking for:Experience of service/application development using
Python
and experience of tooling within the Python ecosystem.Experience in using cloud platforms like
AWS ,
Google Cloud , or
Azure
for deploying scalable solutions.Understanding of
software architecture
patterns, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native design principles.Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment ( CI/CD ) pipelines using tools like
Jenkins
or similar.Knowledge of data engineering principles and techniques.Knowledge of data science techniques would be a plus.Here’s an idea of what you might typically encounter:Our services are deployed to
