will be responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of our eCommerce platform and supporting ongoing enterprise-wide business applications, integrations and strategic initiatives.Position responsibilities:Designs and develops new features for eCommerce platform and other business applicationsRecommends solutions to bugs and incidentsDevelops back-end code using Java and front-end code using HTML, CSS and JavaScriptWrites SQL code and works with JPA to access and update databasesDesigns and implements microservices and APIs for integration with 3rd partiesPosition requirements:Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science or Engineering or related field. At least ten years of experience in information technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least seven years of experience developing web solutions with Java (Spring and Spring Boot) and .Net required.Previous experience with eCommerce implementations is required for this roleDemonstrated proficiency with GIT (Command line and/or tools)Previous experience with working in databases, such as DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQLPrevious experience with front-end systems such as HTML5, JavaScript (React, React Native, Angular JS)Previous experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs, including REST Level 3 or HyperMedia REST APIsPrevious experience with platforms such as Elastic Path, BloomReach CMS, Adobe AEM, Magento, Salesforce, Shopify, and/or BigCommerceAbility to continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to changeAbility to coordinate users & technical staff across multiple departments/locations as well as coordination of 3rd party project responsibilities.Ability to communicate information across different individuals, departments, and external parties.Skill in facilitating open lines of communication with Distributor Partners, employees, and upper-level management.Johnstone Supply is strongly interested in hiring a great candidate that exhibits work behaviors & values that are conducive to building and maintaining a strong and effective company culture.
