Tax Manager Position - Wilmington, NC (Hybrid)New Gig Solutions is recruiting for a Tax Manager on behalf of our client, a reputable CPA firm in Wilmington, NC. This full-time position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work.Role Overview: The Tax Manager will work directly with the tax department, serving a diverse client base including individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, trusts, and various other entities.Primary Responsibilities:Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returnsCommunicate with clients to gather supporting documentsIdentify tax issues and develop solutionsProvide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returnsSupervise tax team members to ensure accurate completion of returnsMonitor tax law developments and create strategies to capitalize on changesPrepare/review technical tax memorandaResolve tax authority noticesMaintain effective control procedures for all tax processesTrain and mentor staff on procedures and policiesRequired Qualifications:BS/BA in Accounting (Master's in Accounting/Tax preferred)5-8 years' experience in Public AccountingExperience with individual, closely held business, and pass-through entity tax returnsExcellent project management, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgetsProficient accounting, analytical, and research skillsWillingness to work in a team and perform administrative tasks when neededReliable transportation and ability to work in-person multiple days per weekPreferred Qualifications:CPA LicenseQuickBooks experienceExperience with high net-worth individual and multi-state tax returnsExperience preparing exempt organization tax returnsExperience managing a small teamBenefits:Flexible Paid Time OffHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance401k Retirement Plan with Employer MatchingHybrid Work LocationContinuing Education OpportunitiesRoutine Company Outings & EventsRelaxed Office Environment
