Apply now to see where your career at CHOC can take you.Job SummaryThe Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for developing software solutions by writing, maintaining and enhancing critical healthcare systems that are required for everyday functioning of our hospitals and clinics. This role also plays a critical part in the execution of CHOC’s cloud strategy. This role is a remote role.Pay RangeMinimum $100,755 Midpoint $133,515 Maximum $166,254Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.ExperienceRequired: Minimum five (5) years of professional experience developing software applications. Experience implementing data integration and API services. Demonstrated understanding of software design principles, coding and algorithms. Ability to design applications at scale. Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.Preferred: Information Systems experience within the healthcare field or Cloud native application development.EducationRequired: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or additional equivalent work experience in a healthcare environment may be accepted in lieu of education.TrainingRequired: N/ASpecialized SkillsRequired: Strong programming skills with any programming language (Python, Java, .NET, Scripting, Javascript). Understanding of SDLC, databases and their usage. Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps and Cloud services.Preferred: Familiarity with IT Service Management within a healthcare organization. Developing Low-No Code Solutions on the Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, SharePoint).LicensureRequired: N/APreferred: Any Associate level AWS Certification.Work Environments - Functional DemandSedentary - Very light energy level.
