and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States.OverviewOn site PM/CM Services as an owner’s representative on a large Division of the State Architect (DSA) k-12 Education Market Sector program.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding PM/CM Consultant Services for the owner on multiple k-12 projectsEnsures operations are executed in accordance with company project management procedures and policiesEnsures delivery and adherence to contractual requirements and that all aspects of owner contracts are accomplishedManage the procurement phase and development of RFQs and RFPsOversight of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirementsCoordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entitiesManage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the clientIdentifies and manages risk on the project, and advises and confers with regional executive prior to implementing risk mitigation actionsActively participates on internal teams that focus on continuous improvement of the companyEnsures workplace health and safety policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood by direct reports and enforces rules fairly and uniformlyEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline is preferred5 - 8 years of experience in the Design/Engineering/Construction (DEC) industry of which 3+ years as a Project or Construction Manager is requiredA Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential, a Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification, AND/OR a LEED Professional Accreditation is strongly preferredKnowledge and SkillsEffective presentation skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations to the end users, stakeholders, board of education is requiredProficient user skills with the MS Suite of tools and Bluebeam are requiredWorking knowledge of standard industry tools such as P6 and Procore are strongly preferredEffective verbal and written communication skills to foster and maintain interpersonal relationships is requiredProvide leadership and financial management support to the project team is requiredLicense and CertificationsA Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential, a Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification, AND/OR a LEED Professional Accreditation is strongly preferredCurrent California Driver’s License with a valid Motor Vehicle Record with no restrictions or suspensions is requiredWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in an office, an office trailer, and/or in a construction jobsite environment. Conditions regularly include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet conditions, noise, atmospheric conditions, and cramped quarters. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, talk or hear and use hands to finger, feel and handle; frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must frequently lift and or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.Travel RequirementsThis position is performed on location at the project site which will essentially be at the 101/92 intersection mid-peninsula. Ability to legally drive a motorized vehicle in California is required. A Valid Motor Vehicle Record with no restrictions or suspensions is required.
