10+ years of experience supporting Open Source Linux (CentOS, Rocky, RHEL -free)Performed as Lead/Senior level resource, who has strong experience in enterprise level Linux engineeringExperience with Perl, Bash or other standard scripting languagesOpen minded/curious or experienced with automation via scripting (moving away from legacy mindsets around things not getting updated). Experience with Ansible is nice to have.Primary Responsibilities:
Day to day support/administration and patching.Experience in deploying, configuring, and managing/supporting Linux-based systems in a business environment.Coordination and Compatibility:
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of fully tested and compatible devices that meet product requirements.Provide guidance and support to enable optimal usage of Linux technology.Linux Instance Management: Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures.Address issues reported by customers to ensure smooth operation.Qualifications and Skills:
A typical Linux engineer holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.Strong scripting and computing skills are essential.Proficiency in programming languages and working with cloud systems is valuable.Certification: CompTIA Linux+ certification or other relevant Linux certifications is nice to have, but not required.
