DescriptionOverview:
The software engineer role is an integral team member who works with the various groups to support modernization efforts. For this role, you will need to be on top of the latest designs, frameworks, and other trends in the full stack. Also comfortable in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to deploy software where it lives, both in the cloud and on-premises.Primary Responsibilities:Modernizing older applications to new design paradigms and/or new frameworksDesign, development, and deployment of mission critical applications using different frameworks/technologies such as
Angular, .NET 5/6, and SQL ServerMigrating on-premises applications to the cloud and leveraging cloud services for application infrastructure needs (database, file storage, hosting, logging, etc.)Support agile development teams by developing and maintaining tools, pipelines, scripts, and environmentsDevelop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for consistent and repeatable environment deploymentRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in related fieldRequires 3+ years of experience in a similar role or functions including software development on complex applications to large scale production environments.A deep understanding of the .NET platform with demonstrated experience with tools such as SQL, C#, and web services.Experience with the ASP.NET MVC.Previous federal government project experience a huge plus.Ability to interact at all levels of management internally, and with customers and suppliers.Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent follow-through.Takes initiative and doesn’t need constant instruction.Must be able to multitask and manage time amongst clients.Flexibility and ability to bounce between projects quickly.Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar fieldExperience with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMWare, or GCP)3+ years of solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and front end frameworks such as Angular/React/Vue.js.3+ years of solid experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core/5/6, Web API/Microservices3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with container (Docker) development and orchestration with Kubernetes or a K8s distribution such as RancherCI/CD concepts and tools (Azure DevOps, Git, GitLab, Gradle, Nexus or similar tools) - Deployment pipelines, automated build, and configuration toolsExperience integrating DevOps tools into end-to-end pipelinesBroad knowledge in modern information technologies and in-depth knowledge of one development, security, or operational technologyAdditional Information:In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be
