We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our growing Security team. This role is pivotal in the engineering of our information security technology, procedures, and compliance framework. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on security professional with a strong background in cloud security, specifically Azure, and a proven track record in defending against cyber threats.
Responsibilities
Cloud Security Engineering: Develop and maintain secure, resilient enterprise-grade cloud processes in collaboration with architects and system engineers. Configure and monitor security technologies across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.Security Technology Implementation: Implement, configure, and maintain a range of security technologies including DLP, SIEM (MS Sentinel), IAM/PAM, Web Proxies, EDR (M365 Defender), Vulnerability Scanners, and CSPM.Security Operations: Analyze, troubleshoot, and investigate security-related anomalies leveraging security platform reporting, network traffic, log files, and host-based alerts. Perform technical audit remediation and assist in security governance.Security Architecture and Compliance: Contribute to the development of IT security architecture, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures aligned with enterprise guidelines. Ensure readiness for internal/external audits and manage external information security partners.Project Management: Lead medium to large security projects and initiatives, ensuring high quality and effectiveness.Incident Response: Participate in off-hours support rotation as required.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical security experience.Expert-level knowledge of security tools in a cloud environment, with a strong focus on Azure and M365 Defender.Proficiency in SIEM management, preferably MS Sentinel.Deep understanding of enterprise, network, system, and application-level security technologies.Strong foundation in enterprise cloud computing environments, distributed applications, and cloud network security.Experience with system hardening processes, tools, guidelines, and best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong understanding of common technical, data, and security principles.Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCLD, GCSA, SC-100, AZ-305, GSEC, or equivalent preferred.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS and GCP environments.Background in systems or network engineering.Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST CSF and CIS.About the Role:
This is a hybrid position requiring approximately 3 days per week onsite at our Texas office.
