FULL TIME • WALNUT CREEK, CA

Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate ministry by providing excellent management of the technology and events of Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church and its renters. We seek a person who has a deep service orientation -- who is willing and able to partner with staff and volunteers and who can serve the public and WCPC with event organization and oversight. This person in this position will need to possess technical knowledge and expertise, excellent human relations, customer service, organizational, and managerial skills.

Key Responsibilities

TECH MANAGEMENT

Oversee live tech (FOH and ProPresenter) for worship services and events.

Oversee setup/teardown of AV Tech equipment in all spaces.

Oversee AV/Acoustical renovation of all spaces.

Partner with pertinent Directors for scheduling maintenance of AV equipment and instruments.

Consult on outgoing audio collateral (Podcasts, Original Music, Sermon Feed).

Oversee audio recording of events and the associated equipment and processes (Middle Hours, Seminars).

Consult with WA Director on Worship Related AV purchases (Microphones, Software, PA Systems).

Oversee worship service live streams and recordings ensuring quality and consistency.

EVENT MANAGEMENT

Serve as Event Manager or responsible for training and supervision of an Event Manager.

Assist Facility Manager in negotiating pricing for these requests taking into consideration all personnel needs, other costs, and room availability (A/V, etc).

Assist Facility Manager in scheduling of space for events and A/V support personnel.

Work with the Associate Pastor of Connection, Community and Care on the administrative elements of Memorial Services including coordinating facilities, deacons, tech, communications, musicians, etc. as well as providing (or supervising) day-of coordination and oversight.

Additional Information

Works with: Staff, Church volunteers, Vendors, Renters.

Attends: Weekly Staff Meetings, Worship Arts Meetings.

Supervises: Stream Team Lead.

Reports to: Director of Technology and Communication.

Hours/Compensation: 40 hours per week. Full time with benefits.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (with potential flex times including evenings and weekends based on events schedule).

Not a work from home position but flexible schedule is possible.
