Who We're Looking For:
Our Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician would be a role model for the team and lead by example. The position's duties would include but are not limited to:Following protocols set forth by the Practice Manager and Medical DirectorMedication inventoryTechnician Appointments and patient assessmentAnesthesia monitoring following AAHA guidelines and documentationSurgical prep and assistingDentistryRadiologyLaboratory work (In-House and Prep for IDEXX)VenipunctureCatheter placementPharmacy (Online and In-House)Patient recoveryMonitoring of hospitalized animalsTraining of new support staff on patient handling skills (FearFree) and outlining the training curriculumAssist the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and Medical Director in implementing protocols when necessaryOrganizing the flow of the schedule by conducting Huddles with the team and triaging the scheduleRequirements:
Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periodsCan individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 poundsActive Veterinary Technician License in Washington StateGreat Customer Service Experience/SkillsExperience with Avimark (preferred)Experience in a Leadership Role (preferred)FearFree Certified (preferred)High School DiplomaReliable transportationBenefits:
